A Song Can Hold You Up
Weekend Workshop for Choruses
October 21 – 23, 2022
The GRWC is thrilled to welcome internationally renowned vocal activist, composer, and song-leader Melanie DeMore this fall for a weekend of workshops and performances in Grand Rapids, MI. Weaving the fibers of African American folk music with songs for social justice and activism, Melanie will lead our community on a journey of singing together in the oral tradition. All that is required is a willingness to sing and experience the power of community voice as we move to tighten the weave of community through song. Public performance details will be shared soon.
